Edmunds.com estimates the average automotive manufacturer incentive in the US was $2,257 per vehicle sold in October 2006, down $431, or 16%, from September 2006, but up $245, or 12%, from October 2005. In a comparison of all brands sold in October 2006, Scion spent the least, $66, followed by Honda, $285; at $5,763 per vehicle sold, Jeep's incentive costs were the highest.
